Q:<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Why does it cost so much to hire a=
DJ?
A: Disc jockey fees can seem quite hi=
gh
when they are evaluated only by the number of ours booked. In actuality, yo=
ur
DJ will spend many more hours preparing for an event. These additional hours
include obtaining additional music, preparing the play list, calculating be=
at
mixing for smooth song transitions, meeting with clients, and setting up and
tearing down equipment. In
addition, your disc jockey at Digital DJ Productions is an accomplished pub=
lic
speaker, a skill that many people haven't developed (or don't want to!).
Q:<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Why should I hire you?
A: Digital DJ Productions is dedicate=
d to making
your event a musical success. We treat clients like we would like to be
treated--with respect, integrity, and a genuine interest in the client's ne=
eds.
The DJ is an accomplished public speaker, mature, and has a passion for all
types of music. He has degrees in electronics and legal office
administration. We believe th=
at
satisfied clients are our best form of advertising. Clients like the fact t=
hat
the person who meets with them and helps them plan their event is also the
person who performs at their event!
Q:<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Are you reliable?
A: We only perform services under a s=
igned
contract. This protects the client and the DJ. You can expect us to be punc=
tual
and ready to perform at the specified times. We are happy to provide references=
upon
request, and we encourage you to read client comments at our Testimonials p=
age.
Q:<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Are you insured?
A: Yes. Our liability insurance is
specifically underwritten for disc jockeys. A copy of our insurance certificat=
e is
always available for client review. You shouldn't hire a DJ if he or she ca=
n't
provide proof of insurance.
Q:<=

span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> What kind of equipment do you use?=
A: We use some of the finest equipmen=
t in
the music industry, including Yamaha, Behringer, QSC Audio, and Shure. Our sound system provides 500 watt=
s per
channel into elevated speakers with an independent subwoofer. Music playbac=
k is
controlled by a laptop computer using special mixing software. A custom play list is created for =
each client. We provide both a wired and wirele=
ss public
address system at every event.

of travel and overnight stay, if necessary.
Q:<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> How much of a deposit do you requi=

A: We require 50 percent of the total=
fee
deposited as a down payment soon after the contract is signed. The remaining
balance is due not later than 14 days before the event. Please read the s=
ample
contract for complete details.
Q:<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> What is your refund policy if I ha=
ve to
cancel the booking?
A: We will refund all deposits if the
cancellation is requested earlier than 30 days before the event date. There=
are
no refunds for cancellations within 30 days of the event date. Your booking represents a firm
commitment to us. We turn away
other business for the same date, and we can't get that business back on sh=

notice. Please read the s=

contract for complete details.
Q:=
Do you accept credit cards or PayP=
al?
A: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discov=
er,
and American Express, and we do accept payments via PayPal. If you wish to pay by credit card,=
we
can swipe your card like any retail store or you can provide us with your
credit card information and we'll take care of the data entry (like a
traditional phone order). If =
you
would like to pay using PayPal, we will send you an invoice by e-mail that =
will
have a link to PayPal's secure server where you can enter the information
online. We are happy to assist you upon request. You can also use the "Make
Payment" button from the Event Management System, which will take you =
to
PayPal's website. You do not =
need a
PayPal account to use PayPal's payment options.

Q:=
Do you accept music requests?
A: Yes. Unless the client specificall=
y says
no, we welcome music requests. In
fact, we encourage our clients to allow requests because they increase guest
enjoyment. After all, your gu=
ests
don't necessarily like the same kinds of music! Our library consists of over 60,000
songs covering every genre of music!
We also encourage clients and guests to e-mail us with music request=
s in
advance so we can add their favorite songs to our library if necessary. Clients and guests can also request
music through our online Event Management System.
Q:=
What kind of music do you play?
A: The DJ will play any kind of music=
the
client desires, however, he won't play openly offensive music at public eve=
nts
which include school functions. That's why we prefer online music requests =
in
advance of the event. We belong to online music subscription services so we=
can
add most requests to our library if necessary. There is no additional cost =
to
the client for this service.
Q:=
What is your policy regarding musi=
c with
explicit lyrics?
A: We won't knowingly play this kind =
of
music at public events including school functions. If we get requests for these songs,
we'll try to find a radio edit version. Some artists have a reputation for
using explicit lyrics. If we haven't heard the requested song before, we wo=
n't
play it when requested during an event. We always recommend that clients
consider their audience when choosing music. We will make suggestions when
desired.
Q:=
What is included in your dance flo=
or
lighting option?
A: We offer dance floor lighting as a=
n option
for clients who would like club-style lighting effects. Dance floor lighting significantly=
adds
to the event atmosphere similar to a dance club. The DJ controls multiple lighting =
effects,
mounted on two independent tripods, based on the music and the mood. Please note that in order for dance
lighting to be effective, the event room must be capable of being darkened.=
Be sure to check with your venue m=
anager
if you’re interested in this option.
Q:=
Can I buy an audio CD of my event =
music?
A: Digital DJ Productions, LLC can cr=
eate a
custom audio CD of your event.
Please ask about this feature during the event consultation or at any
time prior to the event.
Q:=
Do you meet with clients before an
event?
A: Yes. After an event is booked, we =
will schedule
a consultation meeting (phone consult for out-of-town clients). At this
meeting, we will develop an outline (script) of your event so that all part=
ies
understand the order of activities, music details, contacts, etc.
